Our Story¶

We have been working together with our small team since 2000. Back then, at the SANYO factory in Hungary, we designed, built, and operated a fully Linux-based data center, including a file server, Lotus Notes/Domino groupware server, SAP R/3 enterprise management system, firewalls, and VPN networks.

In parallel with the Japanese company’s exit from Hungary, we founded our own company, ELIT-INFO Kft., at the end of 2005. Initially, we received a few assignments from our former employer and the German parent company. Word quickly spread throughout the country that we were among the first to use a Linux-based SAP system in a live environment.

As a result, we gained many valuable connections at SAP Hungary and the leading consulting firms of the time. This allowed us to enter well-regarded companies, and here are just a few highlights:

We conducted training workshops at the Nuclear Power Plant in Paks on behalf of SuSE/Novell.
We provided training at a technology course organized by SAP Hungary for professionals from SAP consulting firms.
We were recommended for a short consultation for a greenfield SAP installation. This was in 2008, and we have been managing their SAP infrastructure ever since.
Through system integrator companies, we made system upgrades to Linux-based SAP systems at dozens of utility companies.
Through a Hungarian IT service center, we managed hundreds of Linux-based SAP systems for BMW over a period of four years as part of a ten-person team.
Through personal connections, we managed the entire data center system for a renowned Hungarian natural cosmetics brand (Manna) from its start until 2023.
In terms of web infrastructure, one of our largest projects was building the Linux-based web system and managing the web stack for HBO Go, the streaming company.
